Mr. Coffee is a fairly good-looking machine with a black and silver finish. It is mostly made of thick plastics, but there are stainless steel parts also. For a price-friendly coffee maker, its build is pretty solid. However, you have to clean it thoroughly before brewing coffee to wash the thick plastic smell. 

The thermal carafe is made of double-wall stainless steel, not that great, but reasonable with its price. 

The machine measures 14.5″ H X 9.5″ W X 11″ D., But it needs a larger space because of the removable reservoir and filter basket. The water reservoir can hold up to 10 cups, which is about 50 oz of water. 

Brew Quality

Thanks to the automatic drip-brew technology, Mr. Coffee BVMC-PSTX95 brews high-quality coffee at up to 205 degrees F. Moreover, It brews 25% faster than previous models. 

The thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for a long time and loses only about 5 degrees F per hour in my test. That means even after 8 hours; it will keep an acceptable temperature. 

Moreover, if you like a strong cup of coffee like me, this Mr. coffee has a bold brew option for you. This function is handy for many users. 

Filtration

Clean and fresh water is a key to improve the coffee taste. Every top-class coffee machine has a proper filtration system. The bvmc-pstx95 comes with a removable water reservoir which is attached to the backside of the machine.

The water tank also contains a high-performing gold-tone filter basket. This filtration system reduces chlorine levels in water up to 97%. The manufactures suggest changing the gold-tone filter every month. But, if your tap water has no problem, I suggest removing the filter, as it removes other minerals too. While testing, I found that, without the filter, my coffee tastes better. 

User Friendliness

Simplicity is also an aspect of the aesthetic of a machine. People always want simple and easy-to-understand gadgets. And, this machine properly followed the rule. Assbale won’t take long, and the buttons are clearly labeled.  

Cleaning this machine is also easy. It has an indicator light to alarm you when to clean the coffee machine. So, you don’t have to taste reduced quality coffee before you realize it’s time to clean. However, the manufacturers suggest cleaning it after every 90 brews.

However, if the plastic smell that comes out at the first few pots can be reduced and the carafe can be insulated a little more, it will delight all the users.
